Maintaining Our Identity

"Wise human footsteps are the reward of identifying
our thinking with omniscient intelligence"

Many Christian Scientists have found it useful and even inspirational to do daily prayerful work to identify themselves with God, the Principle of all true being. They seek to relate to its source every divine quality they perceive in themselves and in their neighbor and thus catch the "clear glimpses of God" of which Mrs. Eddy speaks on page 205 of Science and Health. There she writes, "Befogged in error (the error of believing that matter can be intelligent for good or evil), we can catch clear glimpses of God only as the mists disperse, or as they melt into such thinness that we perceive the divine image in some word or deed which indicates the true idea,— the supremacy and reality of good, the nothingness and unreality of evil."
