Grace (II Cor. 9:8)
The Greek noun charis can be rendered either grace or "a gift of grace" and so "bounty" or "wealth." The New English Bible well translates the verse as follows: "And it is in God's power to provide you richly with every good gilt; thus you will have ample means in yourselves to meet each and every situation, with enough and to spare for every good cause."
