Healing Through Enlightenment

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law" (Ps. 119:18). This prayer is being fulfilled in the experience of many visitors to a Reading Room which was moved to a location where it could be more accessible to the multitudes in a city.

Some people have come seeking healing, comfort, and assurance for themselves or their families. They have found a new basis for thought and hope. Others have come in the interest of investigating the teachings of Christian Science. Theological students as well as other university students have been among the visitors who borrowed "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. One man caught sight of the Reading Room sign from a bus, noticed the word "Christian," and was prompted to visit the Reading Room. Since then he has returned to purchase many books.

There have been a variety of healings. Harmonious employment worked out in three needy cases. Two instances of family difficulties were resolved through study in the Reading Room. One visitor, beset by fear of an incurable disease, was healed.
