What is more beautiful or more simple than putting one's confidence in God, who gives to man all that he needs?

Serving under the flag, I have had proof that He protects us and sustains us during difficult moments.

Before I was to take part in a military operation, I came down with a high fever. This is what happened. First of all, the operation was called off, and my comrades went out only on patrol; as for me, without my asking anyone, I was appointed barracks orderly. Being alone, I did prayerful mental work and began to study "The People's Idea of God" by Mary Baker Eddy.
