When I heard that people...
When I heard that people relied on Christian Science for healing, I was skeptical; however, curiosity made me read the textbook, Science and Health by our Leader, and one after another many of my queries about God, religion, and life were answered. Now I can see that some bitter experiences I have had only helped me to break with past beliefs, and I thank God for the understanding I have of this exact and practical Science of Mind-healing.
Despite my many fears. Christian Science supported me during the war years in England, led me to readjustment in a new country, replaced reliance on medical advice and remedies, and is a present help in day-by-day living.
There has been no recourse to the medical profession for diagnosis, but either through the work of practitioners or fellow students of Science or through my own spiritual vision I have experienced or witnessed in my children the healing through Christian Science of many diseases. Among these are so-called children's diseases, constipation, cuts, sores, a painful sinus condition, dislocated bones, and external growths. Depression has also given way before increased confidence and joy.
