I am very grateful for the following...
I am very grateful for the following experience, for it has proved to me that, as Mrs. Eddy says on page 66 of the Christian Science textbook, "Trials are proofs of God's care."
I awoke one morning and could scarcely move my right leg. I could do so only with great pain. Finally my entire right side was painful, and I was unable to walk.
Then I remembered this sentence, which is given on page 283 of the textbook: "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action." And on page 199 we read: "Muscles are not self-acting. If mind does not move them, they are motionless." I prayed from the basis of these words, knowing that pain is an illusion of the material senses. As I clung to these scientific truths I was completely healed in a very short time.
