Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Nashville, Tennessee (First Church).

Two dedicatory services for the new ... First Church of Christ, Scientist, 2911 Hillsboro Road, will be at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. today....

The congregation traces its history hack to about 1900 when a group of Christian Scientists began holding services in an uptown office building. In 1916 another group of Christian Scientists [began meeting on the west side], with the two groups forming one church in 1954.
