Christianity contains the essentials for promoting mental health, a psychiatrist told a meeting here.
Dr. Joseph J. Baker, Tennessee's commissioner of mental health, said three conditions required for mental health are "a well-balanced sense of self-esteem, a certain esteem for others, which can be called love, and esteem for an idea which transcends the individual and which gives one's life purpose."
