"One thing is needful"
"Prayer is most important, and to be effectual,
it must be sincere and constant"
The earnest longing and striving to know more of God and to exemplify the purity expressed by Christ Jesus will bring harmony and happiness into one's experience. In Luke's Gospel we read that Mary listened to the Master's teaching and that Martha asked Jesus to bid her sister help her with serving. Jesus replied (10: 41, 42), "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."
