"Our Daily Duties"

The Tuesday Evening Meeting held in The Mother Church Extension on June 7, 1960, is now circulating as a tape recording or manuscript in English and seven other languages, Four weeks after the original meeting entitled "Our Daily Duties" had taken place in Boston, it had been reproduced in branch churches and societies in all sections of the United States, in Mexico, in Australia, and in New Zealand.

"What a joyous privilege these tape recordings are!" wrote a church in California, commenting upon its experience in presenting the meeting before its membership. "We listen to the swell of the great organ, we rise with you to sing, we listen and leave inspired, to bless and to be blessed in the fulfillment of our daily duties. This meeting brought the largest attendance we have ever had. Two of those present came in immediately requesting branch church applications for membership. (Members of The Mother Church are made welcome at these meetings whether they are branch church members or not.) We sent invitations to the young people in our Sunday School who are members of The Mother Church, and they were here too, enjoying this privilege which their membership gives them. This clerk is very grateful!"'

By October the circulation of recordings and manuscripts was placing the meeting within reach of almost every Christian Scientist around the globe. "We feel that you in Boston have given to each member, no matter where he may be in the world, an opportunity for a greater understanding of 'the Word' as revealed to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in Christian Science," declared a church clerk on the Pacific Coast.
