Trusting Divine Power
Christian Science stands firmly for the presence and government of God, the eternal preservation of man, made in His likeness, and the powerlessness of all that denies God's intelligent control of the universe. These revealed facts are inspiring many people to remove their trust from matter and place it in the invisible God, Truth, and His supremacy.
In these stirring times, when the very perpetuation of life on this planet is threatened, deep trust in divine power is greatly needed, and it must be based upon the scientific knowledge of God and His law—His governing will. This knowledge discloses the nothingness of evil and opens the way to the demonstration of the Science of God's power, which provides eternal protection. Through Christian Science one finds that power, the ability to act, belongs to Truth, not to matter nor to evil.
One is not dismayed by present events or by threats of materialistic power when he understands the following explanation given by Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 97): "The broadest facts array the most falsities against themselves, for they bring error from under cover. It requires courage to utter truth; for the higher Truth lifts her voice, the louder will error scream, until its inarticulate sound is forever silenced in oblivion."
