The Importance of Prayerful Support

Fruitful results in Christian Science Reading Rooms always evidence steadfast and consecrated work on the part of Reading Room attendants and church members. Each member can have a part in the Reading Room activity by knowing the omnipresence of God and His omnipotent law, which assures healing, redemption, comfort, and peace. The following accounts tell something of the benefits which result when this activity is supported by the prayers of the church members.

A librarian writes:

"With the approval of our executive board, we held a members' meeting in the interest of greater Reading Room activity. The fact was brought out and recognized that the spiritual idea of what the Reading Room typifies is complete in Mind now; that this room, established in the community as an activity of the Church of Christ, Scientist, has a spiritual purpose to fulfill, and nothing can thwart its holy purpose when supported by the prayers of the church members. After the meeting, we continued knowing that nothing can affect adversely the attraction of the healing Christ nor keep the individual whose thought is ready for the truth from availing himself of the blessing awaiting him in the Reading Room.
