In the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy, a By-Law entitled "God's Requirement" reads (Art. XXIV, Sect. 5), "God requires wisdom, economy, and brotherly love to characterize all the proceedings of the members of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist." This By-Law helps one to measure his actions and decisions and to bring them into accord with God's demands.
