Bringing the Comforter to Mankind

Long ago the Master made this prophetic statement:"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever" (John 14:16). How grateful we are that this Comforter has been revealed to and left with mankind in the healing and redeeming message of Christian Science, as discovered by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy! She herself states in this connection in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 55), "This Comforter I understand to be Divine Science."

Christian Science Reading Rooms are providing for many receptive hearts a place for communion with God, as well as for gaining a better understanding of Him. Men, women, and children are finding comfort in the happiness, health, peace, and security which the correct understanding of God brings.

Reports from librarians, Reading Room committees, and executive boards bear witness to this fact.
