THE OMNIPOTENCE OF GOOD

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy defines the word "good" as follows (p. 587): "God; Spirit; omnipotence; omniscience; omnipresence; omni-action."

This definition gives a new and vital meaning to the word as it is used in the Bible. Turning to the book of Exodus we find Moses asking God to reveal His glory. God answered (33:19), "I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee."

Moses was shown the allness of Spirit, its omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience, and omni-action. This gave him the strength and ability to overcome discouragement and to make new tables of stone, similar to the ones on which the Ten Commandments had been written.
