"Trust in the Lord with all thine...

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5, 6). This text from the Bible has frequently been in my thought whilst I have been working out problems through the teachings of Christian Science, revealed to us by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

Five years ago circumstances at my place of employment were such that I was forced to leave without having obtained other work. I immediately consulted a Christian Science practitioner who very lovingly agreed to help me, and we worked together on the problem. My earnest desire was to be where I could best serve God. Resentment and a sense of injustice had to be cast out. Within two days, I was interviewed and tentatively accepted for a position which was far beyond my expectations and much more harmonious than I could ever have planned.

However, I had to undergo a medical examination. A few days after I had had the examination I was asked to return to have larger X-ray plates taken. I again asked the practitioner to help me to dispel fearful suggestions, and I prayed earnestly to be a good witness to the truth of man's perfection.
