On page 463 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy says, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." The truth of this statement has been proved to us many times, but one healing in particular stands out.

Some time ago a growth began to appear on my back. As it did not seem to be bothersome, it was more or less forgotten. However, as time passed, the growth began to enlarge to rather alarming proportions until it reached a point where I could not lean back comfortably in a chair. I realized that this condition needed correcting at once; so I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, and the healing work was lovingly begun.

The next morning there was a spot on the back of my shirt, and it was noted that the growth had begun to drain even though there appeared to be no opening whatsoever. For a moment I was somewhat disturbed, but soon gratefully realized that the truth was removing whatever was offensive.
