The meeting opened with the singing of Hymn No. 46 in the Christian Science Hymnal, "Day by day the manna fell." Erwin D. Canham, Editor of The Christian Science Monitor, who presided as chairman, then read a letter of greeting from The Christian Science Board of Directors and the keynote message from the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society.
