From the time my mother was healed through Christian Science of a condition of semi-invalidism I would ask her to call a practitioner for me whenever there was a physical difficulty of any kind, but I did not become a Christian Scientist. Several years after my mother's healing I was taken ill with a condition that would probably have been diagnosed as diphtheria. As my father was not a Christian Scientist, I had to choose between Science and medicine. I asked for a Christian Science practitioner, and within three days I was up and completely healed.

Since that experience there has never been a doubt in my thought that Christian Science, as revealed to us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, is the religion demonstrated by Christ Jesus, our Way-shower. I have had many physical healings, but I am most grateful for an instantaneous healing of grief when my mother passed on. Christian Science has given me help, protection, and support in working out the many problems which have come to me.

The opportunity of serving in a branch church is of great value, for each call to service is a challenge to me and means spiritual growth. The greatest blessing that has come to me has been the privilege of having class instruction from a consecrated teacher, who was also my mother's teacher. The association meeting each year is a source of great inspiration.
