DUTY
Do I see someone struggling?
Let me not merely say, "Poor thing,"
And think that I have
Done my duty, pitying.
Oh, let me rather know and see
The man God made, untroubled, free,
Not buffeted at error's whim,
But unperturbed as He.
And is this all? No! Let me heed
The Love that knows all human need
And give my hand to help
By doing the kind deed.
