I attended my first Christian Science service in 1916, and I was greatly impressed with it.

The healing of a belief of un-wantedness is one of the blessings Christian Science has brought into my life. Every idea of Principle, Life, Love, Spirit, Soul, is wanted and needed. Through the application of this truth, as taught by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I have grown to know God as my Father and my Mother—my All— and to rejoice; and I have been healed.

I am grateful for the healing of stammering. This was a slow healing, but as self-will, resentment, anger, and a terrifying fear of speaking were overcome, my tongue was loosed. The statement Mrs. Eddy makes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 162), "The indestructible faculties of Spirit exist without the conditions of matter and also without the false beliefs of a so-called material existence," has been proved true in my experience.
