Instantaneous healing received in church
When I was not yet two years of age, I started attending the Christian Science Sunday School. I am grateful for the many healings I have received through the application of this teaching. I should like to tell of an instantaneous healing I had over four years ago.
I had been planning for some time to spend a few weeks' vacation away from home that summer and had great expectations of having a wonderful trip until a sty on my left eye threatened my happiness. I did not notice the condition until I was about to board the train, when my attention was drawn to it. The following morning the eye was red and swollen. When I reached my destination on Sunday morning, the eye was completely closed.
While sitting in church I listened attentively to the reading of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly; and before it was completely over, I was relieved, but gave the eye no more thought. After church a friend who was with me said, "You have had your healing." Upon reaching home, I looked in the mirror, and both eyes were exactly the same.
