The fact that Christian Science heals was proved in my experience when I first read our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I was so despondent at that time that I often considered suicide the only way out. I was looking to tobacco and alcohol for relaxation and pleasure. I swore freely and had little respect, for anything. I did not seem to grasp much of the meaning of the truth which our Leader was divinely inspired to set forth in Science and Health. But before I had finished reading that book, I lost the false appetites, I gained a truer knowledge of Life as God, the use of profanity ceased, and the general condition of my health and disposition improved. Eyeglasses, which had been worn since childhood, were discarded, for my vision became normal.

This turning point in my experience took place over ten years ago. The physical, moral, and spiritual healings have been complete and permanent. I have relied on Christian Science to meet my every need, and it has never failed.

How grateful to God we all should be for the consecration, and spiritual-mindedness of Mrs. Eddy and for this universal panacea, Christian Science! Membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church has meant growth and progress to me. Class instruction has taught me how to use the Science of Christianity for myself and all mankind.
