It is with a feeling of deep gratitude to God for Christian Science that we give this testimony.

The doctors of the maternity hospital where our daughter was born told us that she was hydrocephalic and could not live for very long, and that it was better that way. The head of the establishment said that he had never seen a similar case in the whole of his career, and admitted the powerlessness of medicine in such a case. Her head was much too large and her arms were bent back on themselves, paralysis preventing their being stretched out. Further, she was not able to retain any food.

Fifteen days after her birth no change had appeared in spite of the many doctors who were consulted and the different treatments given. It was then, in face of the helplessness of medical efforts, that we turned to Christian Science. A few days later the child moved her arms, was able to eat normally, and her head assumed normal proportions.
