I LET HIM LEAD

I wandered into thickening mists of sense,Where all paths were obscured, and much afraidI stood in helplessness until I prayed,Acknowledging my own incompetenceWith willingness to let the Father lead.The mists still clung, but calmly now I stoodIn confidence that God was there and wouldDirect my steps, should I but humbly heedAnd follow Him. It was enough to seeOne footstep at a time show from the gray;Content was I to let Him lead the wayFrom out the mists that had so blinded me.And as thanks bore me free from doubt and fearThe mists dispersed and left my pathway clear.
