"HASTE TOWARDS HARMONY"
"Haste towards harmony" is achieved in Christian Science through the eager resolve to exchange false beliefs and discord for God-bestowed intelligence and harmony.
To those who seem disheartened by a long-drawn-out demonstration in Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy's interpretation of the name "Gad" (Jacob's son) in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," page 586, will be definitely heartening. It reads: "Science; spiritual being understood; haste towards harmony." In this divinely mental haste there is no material chronology, hence no chronic disease. long-indulged sin, ineffaceable sorrow, or any other distressing condition.
In order to prove this in his own experience the student of Christian Science makes neither an idol nor a bogy of the belief in time, for he knows that it is Christ, Truth, not time, that destroys error in human consciousness.
