I should like to tell of a healing...

I should like to tell of a healing which took place in our home many years ago, when we were living in The Hague, Holland. It was on a fifth of January that one of our children went to admire a friend's Christmas tree. While he was there his friend's mother telephoned to tell us that our son had burned himself "a little" and was coming home by motorcar. As the family lived near by, we felt that the burn could not be so slight, else our son would have walked home. When he arrived, we discovered his face was severely burned. He told us that they had lighted candles, and the tree, which was very dry after two weeks in a heated room, had caught fire. They had opened the doors to the garden, and he was drawing the tub in which the tree stood towards the garden, the others pushing, when the flaming tree fell upon him. All at once he told us he could not bear the heat of the room and ran to his own bedroom, where he threw open the balcony door. I telephoned to a practitioner and asked her to help us. This she promised to do, and she told me to read to him the story of the three Hebrews in the fiery furnace, which I did. He was very much interested and we talked about the story after I had finished it. In those few minutes all pain had left him, and that night he slept until the morning. The next day I remarked that large pieces of burned flesh had come off and were still coming oft his face, and underneath new skin had already formed which was as fresh as a baby's. When he went back to school the day after, nobody saw anything strange in his appearance. This healing was complete and was accomplished in one night. I shall never cease to be grateful for the beautiful work of the practitioner.

We have had other healings in our family, among which are those of an instantaneous healing of mastoiditis and of a bee sting.
