In gratitude for the many, many...

In gratitude for the many, many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science I submit this testimony in the hope that others may be led to partake of the blessings of this beautiful revelation.

In the spring of 1928 I became acutely conscious of having failed in accomplishing that which at the time seemed to be the sole purpose of my existence. I felt that I could not face the emptiness of the future, and in my despair, like the Psalmist, I "cried unto the Lord."

In the Glossary in Science and Health Mrs. Eddy defines "angels" in part as follows (p. 581): "God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions. pure and perfect." Truly in this instance God did send His angel to deliver me out of my distresses (see Psalms 107:6), for immediately the answer came to me as commandingly as if it were spoken audibly, "Find someone with the spirit of God and you will get help." I did not know where to go or to whom, but from that moment I had not the least doubt that I should receive help.
