I have enjoyed the testimonies...
I have enjoyed the testimonies of others and feel that I should give mine. My first healings in Christian Science were of constipation and canker. I had tried many doctors, but was no better. I heard of Christian Science through a friend, turned to it, and was healed very quickly. I studied earnestly. A sister and an aunt wanted to know what I was studying. I lent them my book, and they both received a healing.
I joined a branch church and have had the privilege of serving in a number of ways. Later I was healed of a tumor through the operation of Truth. Once I awakened in the night with a stroke; my right leg and foot were helpless. I declared the truth that God is forever with man, and that in reality, therefore, I had my being in God. I would not accept the suggestion of evil. A practitioner was called, and she stayed with me that day. In a short time I decided to get up and go into the sitting room, and with God's help I did. Each day, when I was alone with God—no one was at home, for my family worked all day—I worked and studied, and in two weeks I was able to go out walking.
I am unspeakably grateful to God and to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am also grateful to be a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, and a class-taught student.—(Mrs.) Carrie De Barthe, Auburn, Washington.
