I have received so many blessings from the study and practice of Christian Science that I think it is long past time for me to acknowledge them in our periodicals. I should like to tell of two healings that took place in my parents' home a number of years ago.

While nursing a case of scarlet fever in its severest form I contracted that disease. The patient whom I had been caring for was so ill that a specialist had been called in. A great many so-called medical laws were voiced and much fear was expressed. Shortly after this consultation I went home to try to get some rest, as I had had very little for several days. I was not feeling at all well, so on arriving home I called a Christian Science practitioner. Treatment was begun immediately, but when my rest period was up I was so much worse that I was unable to return to my case.

The public health officer was then called in compliance with the law regarding contagious diseases. He was also the attending physician on the case I had just been nursing. He, knowing that we were students of Christian Science, did not offer any medical advice, although he was exceptionally interested, and we were placed under quarantine.
