The True Nature of Supply

Every Christian Scientist has the glorious opportunity of helping mankind overcome its belief in lack, limitation, and insecurity through his understanding of Spirit as the source of supply. Present shortages of food and homes, the aftereffects of war, appear to be causing misery and privation to mortals. However, the alert Christian Scientist will not, even for one moment, accept the suggestion of limitation or lack, but will keep clearly in thought the fact that true supply is spiritual.

Spiritual man, and there is no other man, reflects God, infinite good. Thus he knows no privation of any kind, but expresses the allness of God and the affluence of divine Love. The plan of his Father-Mother God includes full provision for all His children, each one of whom is forever cared for and sustained by the all-knowing divine Mind.

Our need is to accent and understand these truths, for in proportion to our trust and spiritual understanding are we freed from limitation or lack. The statement of the prophet Isaiah is one of loving assurance (Isa. 55:1): "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." This tender invitation of the Christ confirms the fact that God, Spirit, is the source of all supply, and that His never-ceasing abundance of right ideas is ever available to each one of His children. God, divine Love, sustains, maintains, and eternally cares for all His ideas. Mary Baker Eddy assures us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
