One day Peter came home from school at noon, a sad little boy. He said to his mother: "I have been coughing this morning in school, and the teacher says I can't come back this afternoon unless I bring some cough drops. Will you please let me get some, Mummy?"

Peter's mother laughed, and putting her arm around him she said: "But, darling, you are six years old and since you were two you have been going to the Christian Science Sunday School; now, all of a sudden, you ask for cough drops. Do you really think that if you put those little things in your mouth and swallow them they will keep you from coughing?"

Peter had to laugh too as he said. "No. I don't believe it but the teacher does, and she won't let me come back if I don't bring them."
