For a long time I have wanted to give my testimony of gratitude for the healings and blessings Christian Science has brought to me and to my family.

Seven years ago I came into Christian Science through the healing of many physical ailments, including one which the physicians said would require an operation. I was also healed of a complete nervous breakdown brought on by the physical troubles. I had been a hospital patient in the Philippine Islands, where my husband, an Army chaplain, was stationed at that time. After three weeks in the hospital I was very much frightened by all the ills the doctors had found. In my great fear and extremity I turned to God for help and, in a strength not my own, was able to leave the hospital.

After getting home from the hospital, however. I seemed to have lost the newly found strength and courage. I had heard of Christian Science, but did not know that there were practitioners. There were two Christian Scientists on our post at Fort William McKinley. I called one and asked her if she could help me. She came at once in her car and took me to a practitioner in Manila. In two weeks I was healed of all the physical troubles and the nervous breakdown.
