Christian Science has brought so many blessings into my life that I can no longer refrain from expressing my gratitude for it.

For many years prior to becoming interested in Christian Science I suffered from a very painful condition of the eyes. I consulted several specialists, who changed my glasses and gave me treatments, but failed to effect a cure. I was told that I could never be healed, and that as I grew older the pain would get worse and worse until it would be almost unbearable. Finally I was led to investigate Christian Science, and after two treatments I realized that at last I had found the truth which heals. I had many proofs of the efficacy of Christian Science before a complete demonstration over this difficulty was made.

Another healing was that of a very painful rectal condition. I had suffered for a number of years and had been operated on twice. The pronouncement was made at that time by doctors that I could never be healed, but that at intervals during the rest of my life I should have to come back for other operations. Soon after I took up Christian Science this condition appeared again, but I overcame it within a few days simply by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Once or twice subsequently it tried to reappear, but when challenged by the truth it disappeared. That was several years ago and there has been no recurrence since.
