With unbounded gratitude to God, the Giver of every good gift, I offer this testimony of the healing and sustaining power of Truth.

I turned to Christian Science because of a growing dissatisfaction with the insecurity the world offered, and a lack of activity in business. I had become despondent and nervous. Materia medica offered no relief. I had turned to religion, but had found no comfort from orthodox services.

One day a Christian Scientist visited my home, and invited me to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a Christian Science church. I had been taught to love the Bible in my early childhood in Sweden, and when I read the inscription on the wall of the church, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 494), I knew my prayer had been answered and I had found what I had been seeking. That evening my heart was singing. I began to study the weekly Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, the Bible, and the Christian Science textbook, and visited a practitioner listed in The Christian Science Journal, who lovingly helped me.
