"Daily bread"
Dear
Father-Mother God,
Today I need
The bread of Life, Thy Word,
My heart to feed.
And as the duties throng,
Hourly I seek
Thy ever-present Love,
Blessing the meek.
Thy healing truth I know
Is ever near
To loose those bound by pain,
And banish fear.
I lift my thoughts to Thee,
And there I find
Divine intelligence.
The only Mind.
As gratefully I share
Good, nor withhold,
My blessings are returned
To me fourfold.
With gladness I can say.
"Thy will be done,"
Knowing it means all good
For everyone.
Each day renews our strength
If lived for Thee,
A joyous foretaste of
Eternity.
