I have had many healings since becoming a student of Christian Science over thirty-three years ago. One healing that stands out among many is the healing of my eldest son of asthma. When he was two years old he commenced to have attacks. Sometimes they would last for several days. At times I asked help from practitioners; at other times I worked for him myself. The attacks came less frequently, but continued until he was eight years old. At that time I had a complete physical breakdown. My eyes became so weak I could not read. One night I heard the boy coming downstairs to me, wheezing and working for his breath. For a moment I was utterly discouraged.

He asked me to read to him. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was lying near my bed. I opened the book at the allegory of the trial, beginning on page 430. I started to read, but could read only a few sentences. I did not want to tell the child I could not read, so I told him I would work for him. He said, "No, mother, I want you to read." I opened the book again. It opened at the same place. I began to read and finished the chapter. After I had read several pages in the next chapter I found that he had fallen asleep. I removed the high pillows from under his head, and he continued to sleep peacefully. That was over twenty-five years ago. He has never had asthma since. From that time on I could read as much as I desired and began to improve in every way.

I am so grateful that I took up the study of Christian Science before I became a mother. It has been such a help to me in rearing my four children. Each of them has had many wonderful healings in Christian Science. A few years ago an ugly growth was removed from my eyelid by the operation of divine Love.
