After my mother had overcome...
After my mother had overcome a condition of paralysis through Christian Science about twenty-eight years ago, she urged me to try this healing religion. I asked my physician what he thought about it. He thought favorably of it, and suggested that I try it for one year. I took up the study and gradually gave up all reliance on medicines.
I was healed of nervous prostration in 1917, and through the years many things have been overcome, among them grief, although this healing took some time. Healings in my family have been witnessed. One was of arthritis; another, of a nervous breakdown. The lastnamed took about two years, and while the way seemed very dark at times, the completion of the work not only cleared up the difficulty but also brought a renewed interest in Christian Science to the member of my family who was healed, and who today is an earnest student, and a member of The Mother Church.
For these healings and many others, I am most grateful. The periodicals, for which I have had the privilege of subscribing during many years, are also adding daily healings of loneliness and discontent. The services and lectures are very precious to me. For these and all the other avenues of healing in this great movement, including church membership and the great help given by consecrated practitioners, I am very thankful. I am glad to learn more and more each day that, as my little grandson so confidently expresses it, "God will take care of it."—(Mrs.) Bertha Levy, New York, New York.
