When I was ten years old, my mother and I began to study the truth revealed in the Bible and in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. For many years I enjoyed the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School. Here I learned to apply the truth, and this gave me a foundation for future building in Truth, and guided, protected, and cared for me during my high school days and five years at a university.

My first healings were those of a growth on my hand and influenza. My mother and I had to learn to cling closely to Truth, never doubting for one moment, but trusting Truth to guide us. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and after several weeks of treatment these healings came. I have also been healed of blood poisoning, fear of infection, colds, and boils. I am very grateful that when I was a little girl Science and Health was in our home and in daily use, in conjunction with the Bible, and that the periodicals, including that splendid newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, were an integral part of our household, and all are a part of my home today.

At the birth of our little daughter I was able to prove the fact that "perfect love casteth out fear." The harmony and joy this little one brings are indeed much to be grateful for. She is strong, happy, alert, and is attending a Christian Science Sunday School. She is the fourth generation of our family to be grateful for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
