Through Christian Science, "the windows of heaven" have been opened to us, and blessings have been poured out, so that there is not "room enough to receive" them. (See Malachi 3:10.)

Over twenty-eight years ago, a dear friend visited me and found me discontented, mentally ill, and very much troubled about many things. She asked me to investigate Christian Science. I went with her to her home, wanting to understand God, and seeking something better than I had hitherto known. There that longing was satisfied—I found peace. The textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was obtained, a practitioner was asked to help me, and I began in earnest the journey from sense to Soul.

My first healings were those of tonsillitis, acute indigestion, and chronic malaria. At that time there was much physical pain, which was slow in yielding to the Word of Truth, but the suffering forced me to search the Scriptures more diligently, with the aid of our textbook and Mrs. Eddy's other writings, and I thereby gained a higher understanding of God and my relationship to Him. A better mode of living was immediately restored to me and my family. I soon had class instruction, a privilege which I value more each day as I apply the Word in confidence and love. Even though my understanding is comparatively small, I am inexpressibly grateful that in some measure I am able to demonstrate the great fact that God is Love.
