The work done by the Bible Lesson Committe...
The work done by the Bible Lesson Committee in Boston in preparing our weekly Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly is something for which I am very grateful.
Seven years ago, I attended an important meeting of an organization of which I am a member. While in the city where the meeting was held, I had a personal interview with the maintenance superintendent of a company for which I had long desired to work, having previously written the company several times and filled out an application. Nothing had resulted, and at the interview I was told there was no prospect of an opening for a long time.
Although I derived much good from the meeting I attended, yet all that good was displaced by the disappointed feeling I had regarding my interview with the business firm for which I wanted to work.
