This testimony is written to help express my gratitude for Christian Science, and I sincerely desire that all who read it may be inspired to go on each day and learn better and higher ways of serving this great Cause.

I first learned of Christian Science immediately after graduation from high school, at which time I borrowed the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, from the public library and read it. I did not think I was gaining anything from this reading at the time, but I now know that a seed was sown, for twelve years later, when my family and I were continuously in poor health and very limited financially, we decided, upon the suggestion of a friend, to buy a copy of Science and Health. After reading the Preface and the first chapter, my husband and I sought a practitioner to find out how to study and how best we could learn something about Christian Science.

We immediately began studying the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and after our first visit to the practitioner attended a branch church. Our children were entered in a Christian Science Sunday School. I saw that to be a true Christian Scientist was what I wanted most. This prayer, this desire, has constantly been protecting and guiding me in the past seven years.
