When I commenced to investigate the teachings of Christian Science, about twelve years ago, my thoughts were crowded with fear, and I was disposed to be depressed, critical, and cynical. In consequence of embracing such discordant thoughts I manifested equally discordant physical conditions; in other words, the passage in Proverbs which states concerning a man that "as he thinketh in his heart, so is he," had become literally fulfilled in my own experience.
