It is not possible for me adequately...

It is not possible for me adequately to express the gratitude I owe to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to the religion which she has founded. Through the study of her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," through attentiveness at Sunday services and Wednesday evening meetings, which she inaugurated, through other activities which she provided for our further growth, including class instruction, and through the help of Christian Science practitioners, I have experienced many physical healings, found the solution to difficult business problems, and have been greatly benefited by spiritual illumination, correction, and guidance.

My parents became interested in Christian Science over thirty years ago through my mother's healing of a headache. This was immediately followed by my great-aunt's healing of cancer.

An early healing that I experienced was of an attack of blood poisoning, which had been unsuccessfully treated by a physician and had subsequently spread throughout my entire system. In considerable pain, I visited a Christian Science practitioner, and during the course of the treatment the pain vanished. The following day the entire problem cleared up.
