It is in gratitude to God for all the good that has come to me through Christian Science that I write this testimony.

When this Science was first presented to me, some eighteen years ago, I was sorrowful and distressed, suffering from bad health, poor eyesight, and despair. A few months later my little son passed on, but it was at that darkest hour in my life that I glimpsed the light of Truth. I saw that life was eternal and felt I must go on with the study of Christian Science in order to solve the many problems that seemed to present themselves daily. I advanced in understanding, though very slowly.

One of the first healings I had was that of being able to cast aside glasses which I had been told to wear always. Further healings came when I tried to follow Jesus' words, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Continuous headaches were overcome through the reading of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and a severe form of eczema was healed by Christian Science treatment alone, after medical treatment had been tried and had failed. It was proved in this case that fear had been the cause of the complaint.
