I am so grateful for the spiritual...
I am so grateful for the spiritual uplift gained through the earnest and sincere study of Christian Science that I wish to submit this testimony for the Sentinel so that others may be helped as I have been. I have attained complete freedom from a difficulty which I had had from birth, called by the medical faculty cerebral paralysis. My parents were informed by the attending physician at that time that one could not grow to normal womanhood with this trouble.
After I had been doctored a number of years with no results, a relative introduced Christian Science to the family. The healing was slow, but my understanding grew through my attending Sunday school. At one time when things looked dark we asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner in a distant city and it was cheerfully given. Words can never express the feeling of joy I had after the treatments were given, and within a few months I was completely healed of the trouble. This healing took place twelve years ago and has been complete and permanent. I am also very grateful for the healing of goiter, appendicitis, discoloration of hands and legs, impaired eyesight, sore throat, extreme nervousness, fear of speaking in public and of meeting people, self-pity, impatience, discouragement, and self-condemnation, and for a more harmonious functioning of all organs.
I am most grateful for the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for a number of years. Membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church have been steps of unfoldment for me. Class instruction was another step of progress. I also wish to express my sincere gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; also to the practitioners who have helped me to realize the truth, to the relative who introduced Christian Science to my parents, and to the Sunday school teachers.—(Miss) Dorothy Florence Gally, Brooklyn, New York.
