Confidence

I thank Thee, God, that I've no need to grow
Confused and weary when the climb is slow;
For Love will never let me go astray
Or falter anxiously along the way.

I thank Thee I need never suffer stress
Of timid doubt or bitter loneliness,
Because Love walks forever at my side,
My steadfast friend, my mentor, and my guide.

I thank Thee, Father, that I need not fear
The prideful voice of error in my ear;
For Love speaks, and my waiting sense is free
To heed the concords of eternity.
