Words cannot express the deep...

Words cannot express the deep sense of gratitude I have for Christian Science, which came to me at a time of great need. I had lost a loved one, was experiencing discordant home conditions, and had several physical problems. I had felt for a long time that I wanted to know more about God, and had sought to accomplish this along various lines, which were by no means satisfying. I knew no one who was a Christian Scientist. I was led to it simply by the "still small voice" we learn to know and cherish. Although the first time I went to a Christian Science church service I did not understand much of it, I had a burning desire to return, to learn more about Truth and to enjoy the understanding these Christian Scientists loved and were anxious to share.

Since then I have been healed of nervousness and acute constipation. Recently, a one-quarter-inch piece of lead from a pencil dislodged itself from my finger without the aid of a surgeon, and during the week the lead remained in my finger I was able to type without any discomfort whatsoever. This healing gave me unquestionable proof of the power of the Word of God.

I was healed of the smoking habit by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and with no exertion of the human will. I have lost my taste for tea; I was enabled to sell a house at a time when mortal mind said that real estate was not moving; and I have received many other blessings, too numerous to mention. I have had many demonstrations of supply, and I know that God's divine protection is ever present.
