The Reading Room
Oh
, quiet refuge, place of peace apart,
Where men may seek refreshment for the soul,
Where men may rest, sheltered from mortal thought,
Partaking of the manna that makes whole!
Here worldly noise and care are left behind,
And those who enter feel the sweet release
That comes with knowing of the precious truth:
God fills all space, giving His children peace.
An oasis upon earth's desert place
Is this, where Love feeds every hungry heart
That seeks to be attuned to harmony;
Then warmed and filled, rejoicing, can depart.
