For more than twenty years I have been a student of Christian Science. I have given numerous testimonies of healing and expressions of gratitude in church meetings for benefits received, but at this time I wish to offer a written statement.

Many years ago I voiced a prayerful desire for an acquaintance with the Scriptures and an ability to quote therefrom with authority. About 1918, when I took up the study of Christian Science, I felt a great need to know "a God at hand," to whom I could pray aright. Through my continued study and application of Christian Science that need has been met. I have come to know and reverence the Scriptures as never before and to find therein all the guidance I need. Thus the prayer of early years has come to fulfillment, and in an even greater measure than I could have hoped for. In studying the Bible and in following the rules laid down in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I am overcoming sin and sickness, and "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding," is being established in my daily life. The desire to know and to utilize the teachings of the Bible has brought daily blessings into our household.

My wife and I have had the blessed privilege of membership in The Mother Church and in a loyal branch church for many years. Such membership has afforded us the joy and continued opportunity for service in each phase of its activity. The Sunday school has given us opportunities for growth in its service and has afforded loving instruction to our two children, who are now members of The Mother Church. Now our two grandchildren are regular attendants at a Christian Science Sunday School, and are applying the understanding of Truth gained there to their own little problems.
